The loose beads & pieces shown here are an eclectic sample.

- Vintage

Vintage glass beads are all over 35-50 yrs old and hail from Europe & Japan.

- Italian

Italian glass beads are from Murano, Venice.  Murano handblown beads contain 24k gold, white gold or silver foil.

Finds

These are finds that have been adapted & worked into pieces

such as the long pale pink Venetian glass stalks from a 1900s chandelier below.

Angela

Rooting out beads from her travels was Angela’s past-time – now part-time job!

Her other job is being a guide.

She lives in Ravello on the Amalfi Coast where she guides … and designs & creates jewellery.

These pieces are one-offs, often bold, exuberant … sometimes playful kitsch.

They attract attention & invite interest (even the quiet ones).

ASYMMETRY IS A SIGNIFICANT ELEMENT IN THE DESIGNS;

FLEXIBILITY IS ANOTHER ELEMENT, ALLOWING SOME PIECES TO BE WORN IN MULTIPLE WAYS;

PROVENANCE OF THE BEADS IS GIVEN AS A ‘SMALL PIECE OF HISTORY’.
